2013 was a great year for the Vancouver chapter. We saw a rejuvenation of our online presence through this blog, Twitter and Facebook, we held our first professional development day in several years and we grew our chapter with new members and retained many of our previous members. We also saw an increase in the number of members who served as representatives for the Vancouver chapter at the national AGM in Toronto. It was a year to be proud of.
The new year brings new opportunities for PWAC and we hope to carry on the momentum of 2013. This spring, (date is being solidified in the coming weeks) we will be holding our next professional development day with a focus on social media for writers. We have decided to cut our socials to every two months, with breaks in December and the summer (since we have our holiday party and summer party). We will continue holding the socials on the second Thursday of the month, so our next will be in February. Stay tuned for date, time and location details.
